Aleyant Pressero™ Adds Payfast and PayU WebCheckout as Payment Methods; Adds Protected Setting for Profile Field Types

We have updated Pressero with some great new features that you can immediately start using today.

Payfast Payment Method

For customers located in South Africa, Payfast has been added as a payment method option. This is a “backward” payment method in which the user places the order on the Pressero site, but is then directed to a secure Payfast page to enter their credit card info. This payment method does not require that an SSL Certificate/in-store credit card processing be set up in the site in order to use the payment method.

How to Set Up Payfast in Pressero

•Go to Preferences>Payments within Pressero

•Choose to Create New Payment Method

•Name the method

•Save

•If you go to Sites > Settings > Payments tab, you will now see that you can “turn on” this method in the site by clicking the box next to the payment method name.

PayU WebCheckout Payment Method

For customers located in Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Argentina, PayU WebCheckout has been added as a payment method option. This is a “backward” payment method in which the user places the order on the Pressero site, but is then directed to a secure PayU page to enter their credit card info. This payment method does not require that an SSL Certificate/in-store credit card processing be set up in the site in order to use the payment method. We also support a “forward” version of the PayU payment method in which the user pays on the Pressero site and in-store credit card processing/SSL certificate IS required.  Click here for more info on this option.

How to Set Up PayU Webcheckout in Pressero

•Choose to Create New Payment Method

•Name the method

•Save

•If you go to Sites > Settings > Payments tab, you will now see that you can “turn on” this method in the site by clicking the box next to the payment method name.

Protected Setting for Profile Field Types Now Available for Pressero Users

This capability was recently added to stand alone Aleyant eDocBuilder™ accounts and is now available for Pressero accounts.

In eDocBuilder, a template can now be set up to protect a Profile Field so that a user can see content on the template but not make any edits. For example, you might want to have the user’s name appear on the template but do not want them to be able to edit it.

To set this up on your template, go to the ‘Field Setup’ area of the template and then to the field you need to edit. On the ‘Data Capture’ tab, set the ‘Profile Field Type’ to the type of data you want pulled, for example ‘Full Name’, then check ‘Protected Field’.

When a user customizes the template, their name will appear on the template, but there will will be no field on the left for them to edit (see example below). However, the behavior for protected fields has not changed for non-Profile Field types. Checking ‘Protected Field’ without selecting a ‘Profile Field Type’ will continue to make the field invisible to the user on both the template and the field list on the left. The data for that field will appear on the production file.
