Pressero v5.3.1 Released!

The latest version of the Pressero web-to-print solution was released last week. These are some of the new features we think you’ll be most excited about!

Faster Orders Management Area Ready for Beta Testing

Our developers have been working hard to provide a new orders management page with faster response time and without a limit to how many orders can be displayed. We’re pleased to announce that this new page is now available for beta testing. To access it, simply click the blue link at the very top of the current Orders page. You’ll notice many improvements, such as faster loading and editing times and immediate application of order status changes. However, as it’s in the beta test phase, you may also come across a few issues. If you do, please let us know by submitting a support request, and our developers will resolve them. The page is still a work in progress, so you can expect to see some more columns and filtering options available in the near future. We look forward to hearing your feedback!

Improved Real-time Pricing Integration with Printer’s Plan

Earlier this fall, Aleyant Systems and SoftUSE unveiled a unique real-time pricing integration module linking Aleyant’s Pressero web-to-print software and SoftUSE’s MIS solution, Printer’s Plan. When configured, this integration automatically updates pricing in Pressero to match what is entered in your Printer’s Plan account. In this recent update, we’ve released even more flexibility for this integration, allowing for even greater customization.

You can now set up your Printer’s Plan pricing integration in some different ways. (For a reminder on the basics, see our previous blog post about this integration.) In Site > Products > [Specific Product] > “Pricing” tab, where you would previously have entered both the Printer’s Plan Template and Item numbers, you can now do one of two things:

  • Enter both a Template Number and Item Number: This will show only a text box on the product page, asking the user to enter a quantity.

This is an example of the pricing calculator where both a Template Number and Item Number have been entered.

  • Enter only a Template Number: This will show the quantity field, as well as a drop down menu with all existing items in Printer’s Plan that are available for that template.

In this sample calculator, only a Template Number was entered, allowing the customer to choose an item.

For both of those scenarios, you can also limit your users to ordering only certain quantities. To do that, enter those amounts, separated by commas, in the new Quantities box.

Faster Shipping Rate Look-ups

Previously, users who had many integrated shipping methods enabled in a site sometimes encountered slow speeds in the shopping cart and when estimating shipping costs. Our developers have released a change that sends all shipping service quote requests at the same time, instead of one-by-one, leading to a much speedier experience for you and your clients.

Enhanced Purchase Order Code List

If you have created pre-set purchase order codes for a B2B site (in Site > Purchase Order Codes), they display in a drop-down box on your client’s checkout page. If the Purchase Order Codes are associated with a specific site location, they are filtered so that only applicable codes are shown to the user. Previously, this location was always based on the user’s primary location. For example, if John Smith’s primary location is Chicago, only codes applicable to Chicago would show up on his checkout screen. You now have the option to filter the available purchase order codes based on what the user selects as the billing address, instead of their primary location. For instance, if John Smith is assigned to the Chicago location but is placing an order that should be billed to the New York office, this feature allows the New York location’s purchase order codes to be used.

To set this up, go to Site > Settings > General Info in your Pressero admin account. In the Checkout area, select “List PO Codes Based on Billing Location.” Then scroll down and click “Save.” Please note: Because this is based on locations, this feature is only available if your site’s address book mode is set to Locations or Both.

The Checkout area in Site > Settings > General Info allows you to configure purchase order options, including the ability to filter by billing location, rather than the user’s primary location.

Banamex Credit Card Payment Method Available

Headquartered in Mexico City, Banamex is a subsidiary of Citigroup, the world’s largest financial services network. With Pressero, you can now accept credit card payments securely via Banamex. To configure integration between your Banamex and Pressero accounts, select “Banamex” from the Method Type menu when adding a new payment method in Preferences > Payments. Enter your Banamex merchant ID, access code, and secure hash; then click “Save.” Finally, enable the new payment method in your B2B or B2C storefronts by selecting it in Site > Settings > Payments.
